Starting May 20, 2020, we are operating on a an appointment only basis. All services may not be available. To book an appointment and/or discuss your needs, please call the shop at 203-776-4461. Please leave a message if there is no answer and we will call you back to schedule.
Greg’s is committed to adhering to the guidance of the City of New Haven and the State of Connecticut with regards to re-opening. As additional guidance becomes available, we will update our store hours and operating procedures.
Safety Protocols
For the safety of our staff and our customers, we will be adhering to the following safety procedures:
Only one customer will be allowed to enter the shop during their scheduled appointment time.
Please wear a face covering. The tailor will be wearing a mask, face shield and gloves for everyone’s protection.
The front door will remain locked for the duration of a client’s appointment in order to observe social distancing in our small shop. Upon arrival, please ring doorbell and wait for the Tailor to open the door.
If you arrive while a client is being serviced, we ask that you wait outside until we can accommodate you.
After each client, please be patient while we disinfect all surfaces and shared areas. A commercial garment steamer will be used on garments for disinfection.
Please remember, you will also need to schedule an appointment for pick-up. Greg is happy to work with you to make that as easy as possible!

Part of New Haven Since 1985
Thirty-five years ago we opened our doors on College Street in New Haven, across from the historic Shubert Theater. It was there that we built incredible relationships with the greater New Haven Community, Yale and the citizens and professionals living and working in the city. We are happy to be able to continue doing business in this great city in a new and larger location on Court Street. We look forward to seeing all our old friends and to making some new ones, too.
